1st ANNUAL MOORE Firefighters SANTA EXPRESS CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

May 20, 2010 - The tournament will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010, registration at 11:30 a.m. with a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start at the Moore Athletic Club, 920 SW 19th.

Register by July 5th.  The proceeds will be used by the Moore Firefighter's Santa Express program to provide gifts for underprivileged children in the community.

$60 per person or $240 per team, mulligans are 3 for $10 or $5 each.

8th Annual Stratford Fire Department - 2-Man Bass Tournament

The Stratford Fire Department & the Masonic Lodge are hosting the 8th Annual, 2-Man Bass Tournament on May 15, 2010!

• 1st Place wins a 2-Man Bass Boat
• 2nd - 5th place also receive prizes
• Big Bass Pot!  75% to the First Place Team & 25% to Second Place
  • Entry Fee  is $45 a team AND $10 more for Big Bass
  • Start time is 6:00 am and ends at 3:30 pm.  Fish ANY lake, pond or watershed
  • Limit is 5 fish with legal bass being:  Largemouth, Smallmouth & Kentucky
  • Weigh in is at 3:30 pm by FIRE STATION TIME!  All fish after 3:30 pm are DISQUALIFIED
  • Dead fish are subject to NOT being allowed by the weigh-in crew
  • A LIE-Detector Test MAY be used!
  • Tournament Entry Deadline IS May 14th by 5:00 pm!

The 2nd Annual Daniel Wayne Pacheco Memorial Poker Run

April 19, 2010 - The Poker Run will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010. $10 per person. Registration starts at 10 a.m., first bike out at 11 a.m., last bike out at 1 p.m., cars are welcome!

The Poker Run starts at the Oklahoma Park in Kingfisher, OK. Daniel had retired from the Loyal Fire Department. ALL proceeds will be dedicated to the Daniel Pacheco Memorial Fund. Bethel Acres Fire Department Open House & Dedication

April 19, 2010 - The Bethel Acres Fire Department offers an open invitation to attend our Fire Station Dedication and Open House!

Please join us on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. to celebrate the life and to honor the ultimate sacrifice given by Bethel Acres Firefighter, Jimmy Wayne Parrish, who was killed in the line of duty on March 11, 1979.

Events include:  The Dedication, Flag Presentation, Poems and songs by Ms. Watson's Fifth Grade Homeroom Class along with a reception and Open House immediately following the ceremony. This is a rain or shine event and all are welcome to attend.

Annual Fallen & Living Firefighters Memorial Fundraiser - Poker Run

UPDATE: Thunderbird Casino has been a sponsor of the Fallen & Living Memorial Poker Run for many years and THIS year wants to do more!

Friday night, May 7, before the Poker Run, from 9:00 pm to midnight the Thunderbird Casino is hosting a special, pre-run, fundraiser!  Everyone who donates $5 to the Memorial fund will receive a $10 Players Club Card that may be used with any game at Thunderbird Casino.

This type of fundraiser has been used before at the casino for other causes and has successfully raised thousands of dollars!  Therefore, firefighters who want to show their support and provide an incentive to others are invited to show up wearing your (favorite?) firefighter t-shirt.

Follow your department's guidelines regarding the use of uniforms and clothing that identifies you as a member of your fire department so that you remain within your Department's policies.   Eskimo Joes Fire Clothes are always a good choice.  (blatant, commercial plug follows) Limited quantities are available in YOUR Firefighters Museum!

February 25, 2010 - It is that time of year again. Time for the Annual Firefighters Memorial Poker Run! No matter what kind of bike you ride you are welcome to ride with us. If you want to drive your car or truck, come on and be a part of this event. The proceeds of the poker run go toward the care and maintenance of the Oklahoma Fallen & Living Firefighters Memorial.

See this flyer for the details, but the ride begins at 9:00 am at the Oklahoma State Firefighters Museum and ends at the Thunder Roadhouse (with the last rider in by 5:00 pm). There will be at least five stops, so you may draw your cards and enjoy yourself throughout the day.

The cost is $20 for each person sign up online here and order your t-shirt size! Best hand wins $500.00! Second best draws $250.00 and even the Worst Hand draws $125.00!
