Our next two-shift Union Meeting will be April 19 & 20, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Mid-Town Plaza, 330 West Gray. Please have agenda items to Sec/Treas Dennis Mitchell by April 9, 2010. Door Prize: $300.00. You must be present at one of the meetings to win. (Union Meeting...)

January 19-20, 2010 Union Meeting
December 4, 2009 - There was a two-shift Union Meeting held on January 19-20, 2010 at Mid-Town Plaza in the lower level conference room at 7:00 p.m. Agenda items were submitted and discussed/voted upon as outlined below in the minutes to this meeting. The door prize for this Union Meeting was $275. Pat Holdings' name was drawn and subsequently disqualified for this meeting's door prize. (You must be present at one of the meetings to win.)

slots on vacation calendar following new-hires.
-No motion made. - Discuss and possibly take action on negotiating incentive
pay for Child Safety Seat Technicians.
-No motion made. - Discuss and possibly take action on requesting the City to
change its hiring requirements to include 30 hours of College or
2 or more years of active duty service in the Military with an
Honorable Discharge.
-Motion to request City to change hiring requirements through consultation and/or negotiations to include 2 or more years of Military Service to equal the 30 or more hours of College.

can be easily found by members of the community looking for
Firefighters who can/will perform the type of job wanting done.
-Motion to allow Webmaster to post list of available Firefighters for off duty jobs.

Motion passes. - Discuss and possibly take action on changing through
negotiations the date we receive our clothing allowance from
August 1st to March 1st.
-Motion to allow Clothing Committee to place clothing order at most appropriate time.

determines the cut off date for new positions approved by the
City Council.

-Motion to start progressive door prize drawings after next door prize award.

Motion passes.
Door prize: Pat Holding was drawn for the $275.00 door-prize. Pat was not present at either of the meetings therefore forfeits his eligibility to win. The door prize for next union meeting continues to move upwards at $300.00. (Until it is won; thereby instituting the above voted upon measure to add additional chances as outlined in the above meeting.)
